Jaycee's Prayer

I was putting Jaycee and Sawyer in bed tonight and Jaycee wanted to say the prayer. She closed her eyes and folded her arms and said, "I pledge allegience to the flag..." and started to giggle. She giggled and giggled and giggled. It was so funny! She always makes us laugh. Didn't that happen on Christmas Vacation? I don't remember for sure but it totally reminded me of the old crazy lady in that show! I am so grateful for each one of my kids. What a blessing it is to be a mom!

Baked or Fried????

So today I decided to bake cookies for my kids-dessert and treats are ALWAYS higher priority for me than dinner. Right ShaLae??? haha I ordered dessert the other night at dinner and shared Casey's dinner! MY apple crisp was better than his fettucine! :) Since I had already made cookies, as it got close to time for dinner today I just didn't really know what to make. Thank heavens we had some teriyaki chicken in the freezer from Costco, some fresh corn on the cob AND some tater tots I grabbed when I was at Walmart lastnight. I giggled because this is a little bit of a battle in our marriage so I never cook them. Casey thinks they have to be deep fried-he makes THE BEST french fries ever and I love those but I think tater tots really just need to be baked. They are too greasy if you fry them. I laughed as I dished his tater tots onto his plate and he sorta freaked. Not meanly-he's really funny. SO he mooshed them and squirted ketchup all over them. Ahhh!!! I thought they were yummy and we had a good laugh. How do you cook your tater tots?

Heather....

SO....my cute sis-in-law Heather rescued my blog for me today. Yahoo!!! I am not good at the computer thing! Doesn't it look great?? Thanks Heather! Scotcheroos? I am glad it looks cute now.

Fall is here!

Doesn't it feel great? It's nice to open the windows and enjoy the cool air. Fall is my very favorite time of year! It is sad to say goodbye to summer, though. We have had so much fun this year! I love babies but I definitely function better without one--who doesn't? We are finally done with diapers and binkis and ready to fly and have fun as a family! It was so much easier this year to camp, swim, go to the park, go for a bike ride, or do whatever. Two of our FAVORITE things we did this summer were American Idol and seeing Angel Moroni be put on the Oquirrh Mountain Temple so I thought I would post some pictures on our blog since we didn't have a blog all summer! Such awesome experiences!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple

The kids in front of Angel Moroni....so cool! We got to get so close! INFACT a lady wearing a church nametag asked us who we were with-when I told her I was just here with my kids and some friends she said, "Oh-you aren't supposed to be here! It's only for special workers and their families so don't tell anyone!!!" Pretty funny-the gate was open and we walked right in. Oops! Glad we did! :)
All of us...
It was so windy they were debating if they could do it that day-it was SO COOl to see the wind slow down just long enough for them to put him on...the Spirit was seriously amazing. I am so glad we got to experience this-my kids will hopefully remember it for the rest of their lives.
This picture is hilarious! Alyssa & Shay & friends were interviewed by the news-it was pretty funny to watch that night! This news guy (can't remember his name!?) was so cool. The funny part is all of these girls are our friends-we don't know who the dork is in the glasses and pink shirt...he just jumped in our picture! What a nerd! I didn't realize it or I would have told him to duck or something!!!!!!!!! I hope he got his jollies and thought he was hilarious because we just think he's a weirdo!

American Idol

American Idol

We love to watch American Idol as a family and went with the kids and my mom to the concert. Totally fun! We are nerds-we just love it!!! It's fun to watch them during the season grow and progress and then to see them in concert-my kids think they are bigger celebrities than anyone else because they watch them every week on tv! :) We are sorta sheltered! We went to the concert, stayed for autographs after the show-pretty unsuccessful-so I gathered some teenagers from our neighborhood AND my mom-no other adults wanted to come-and took Alyssa and Shay back for autographs the next night. We got there before the show ended-had a great spot in line-and had a blast. Casey missed out even though he doesn't think he did---totally fun!

We were David Cook fans before....love him...but after this picture with Shay we LOVE him!!! He seriously was so down to earth-sweet-aware-hard to explain but his pace was just different! I am sure it was chaos for all of these American Idols to sign autographs and have people screaming at them but David Cook was such a neat cool guy!!!
