Homemade Hamburger Buns

So today in Sacrament Meeting Casey & I were both really struggling to pay attention. It was just one of those days. I told Casey that when I get home from camp I am going to try making homemade hamburger buns. HUGE MISTAKE! He seriously cracks me up. His initial response was simply, "Why? Aren't hamburger buns cheap?" I started to laugh. A few minutes later he made a comment about our "hamburger bun fiasco"-made me laugh harder. A few minutes later..."What's next-are we going to start making our own candles?" I am sure nobody appreciated sitting by us today because they for sure couldn't pay attention either.

Why am I sharing this? I will tell you why! I am now more determined to make them. Casey laughingly told me he doesn't want to eat his hamburger on a roll. For those of you that know Casey well-you are laughing. You've had these conversations about left handed scissors or frosting cakes or buttering bread. I now can't butter bread or frost a cake without laughing and making it uneven on purpose. It's hilarious to me. IF any of you know how to make homemade hamburger buns please share your recipe or give me tips. I need to make amazing hamburger buns-they can't look like a roll. Joy Olson can kick Sara Lee's butt, right?

Pedicures

Nothing makes me happier than when my kids are having fun together....so neat to see their relationships with eachother develop! Shaylee is always so sweet to play with the little kids and keep them entertained. She finally does the pedicure thing in the bathroom now which is such a relief! We've had some crazy messes! ;)

American Idol Tour

All of the American Idols....they sang "Don't Stop Believin" by Journey...did a great job!
Kris-he really was amazing-I will buy his cd and love it I am sure!
Adam-way freakier in person-and for sure gayer-made me laugh. BUT an incredible performer-way different than any of them...a whole different show when he was on stage....
Our rockin grandma, Jaycee, Shay & Alyssa.....
Casey & I-love love love this guy! Isn't he cute???

I have to admit I wasn't totally excited for the tour this year-it's been so busy being in Young Womens that I just didn't get as into it. BUT it was an amazing show! We loved every minute of it and so did our kids! Way fun! It's the first year we didn't stay for pictures and autographs but it's nice to be home earlier than usual and I feel grateful to not be fighting the crowds. I turn into an idiot at those things-hard to believe, I know.

Telemarketers!

Earlier tonight Jaycee answered the phone...after she hung up she was totally giggling and said to Casey, "That lady wanted to sleep with you!" Casey said, "WHAT?" Jaycee-"She said she wanted to sleep with Casey Olson. Only mom sleeps with you."
Pretty sure she said SPEAK with him-dang funny story. Loser telemarketers.

Stadium of Fire

Alyssa had the awesome opportunity to dance in Stadium of Fire....it was a TON of work and a TON of fun....she loved it!!! The entire show was awesome-I love this country and it is neat to celebrate such an awesome holiday! Last time Alyssa was in Stadium of Fire she danced right in front of us-this time we weren't so lucky-but the little we saw of her was fun! She did great. The Jonas Brothers were there this year-they actually did a really good job-they brought a neat energy to the show. The kids were thrilled and it was cool to hear them sing along. Fun fun night-now we can get back to life again-my house really needs to be cleaned and we all need a little bit of sleep! ;)
